Vanessa joined HAL Fund Services Ireland (HALFI) in April 2022 as the Head of Compliance (PCF12) and Head of AML (PCF52). Immediately prior to joining HALFI, Vanessa was the Head of Legal and Compliance at Equity Trustees Fund Services (Ireland) Limited, a third party management company . In that role she had primary responsibility for the regulatory compliance programme and all legal matters in Ireland. Ms. McManus commenced her career as a practice accountant before moving to her role as a Senior Legal Executive at Custom House, where she was responsible for all legal matter pertaining to the incorporation of financial investment vehicles in multiple jurisdictions.  Vanessa has also held senior legal and compliance roles at global investment management companies including KKR Credit Advisors (Ireland) Limited and GSO Capital Partners Limited.

Vanessa holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Studies and a Barrister at Law degree from The Honorable Society of King’s Inns and a BA in Accounting and Finance and Masters in Accounting and Business from the Technological University of Shannon. Vanessa also holds professional diplomas in Compliance, Risk and GDPR from the Institute of Bankers (accredited by the University College of Dublin) and a Professional Certificate in Commercial Contracts from the Law Society of Ireland.  Vanessa is also a PRA holder
